2016 Nissan Titan XD Diesel Starts at $41,485

2016 Nissan Titan XD Front Three Quarter 12

Nissan’s new in-betweener pickup, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD, is priced a bit lower than equivalent heavy-duty domestic trucks, with its starting price of $41,485 with destination. The range tops out with the Platinum Reserve 4×4 model, which is $61,715.
The Titan XD offers only a crew cab bodystyle with one box size, and the base price is for the rear-wheel-drive model in S trim. It comes standard with a 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V-8 engine offering 555 lb-ft of torque. We don’t yet know pricing for the 5.6-liter gasoline V-8 that will join the Titan XD lineup later next year, and we haven’t heard any details yet about the standard range of light-duty Titan models.

Adding four-wheel drive to the 2016 Nissan Titan XD costs between $2,950-$3,050 extra depending on trim level. SV, SL, and Platinum reserve grades add commensurate levels of equipment, and there’s an off-road oriented Titan XD Pro-4X model available for the 4×4 range that costs $52,165.
The idea behind the 2016 Nissan Titan XD is to split the difference between light-duty 1500 pickups and heavy-duty 2500 trucks. The Titan does start lower than the equivalent diesel-powered crew-cab Ford F-250 ($45,655), Chevrolet Silverado 2500 ($46,330), and Ram 2500 ($44,855).
The 2016 Nissan Titan XD goes on sale this week, and you can check out more pricing and equipment details at Nissan’s online configurator site.
